It has become a tradition that as the new year approaches, certain members are chosen as the best in specific categories. These members are not chosen by the staff, but by everyone voting for whom they think is the most suitable.
Before I post the list, it is preferable to remind you with the basics:
- All members are allowed to vote.
- Voting procedure is done privately; you have to send a private message to The Spirit of Time with your choices.
- You can vote for the three members per category.
- You can't vote for yourself.
- When you vote, choose whom you think should be the first, second and third.
- Those who are chosen the first gain 10 points; the second gain 5 points; the third gain 2 points.
- You cannot vote for the same member twice as the first, but you can choose him/her as second or third if you have chosen this member as first in another category.
- If you are unsure of certain categories, please leave them blank.
- The voting session starts from now until 31 of December, 2012 (Time Zone: GMT).
- Winner will be given special prizes.
- Any question can be asked here.
Here is the list of categories you will use for your voting:
We hope you participate and good luck to all members!

To complement Pokédex 3D Pro on the 3DS and vouch for why many Pokédexes have been removed from iTunes and Google Play, an official Pokédex app (Pokédex for iOS or ポケモン図鑑 for iOS) has recently been released in the United States and Japan only for the iOS. The app retails for $2 or 170 yen, which comes with only the Unova region. Each additional region costs $6 or 500 yen, so the full app costs $26 or 2170 yen.
The iPad version takes advantage of the larger screen to display more information at a give time, while the iPod Touch and iPhone versions, which offer a more compact view. Both versions appear to use the same models as Pokédex 3D Pro.

A rumor has been spreading that a possible upcoming Pokémon game will be coming out in roughly two years for the 3DS, using 3D models and even introducing a new type, something that hasn't been done in well over a decade.

I've decided to bring up the idea of having a Competitive Battling sub board. In the past week or two, we've been having a lot of new members who are competitive battlers or those who just love to battle and get better.
If this new sub board were to be made, here are some thread ideas which would appear:
-A PoTW thread (Pokemon of the Week)
-An RMT thread (Rate my Team)
-EV Training Guide and Support thread
-Breeding Guide thread
More thread ideas will be included later, but I would like to know who would want to see the possibility of a Competitive Battling sub board in the future.
I will be including a poll at the top of this thread, so please don't forget to vote yes or no.
**Be sure to post the reason why you said yes or no.**

'Today marks the day in which the Gym League finally opens. Throughout the course of the past few weeks, you all have been updated with various instructions and mechanics that the League will follow, thus, it is pointless to go over them here again. What should be told, however, are the new additions!'
'1-Events & Tournaments'
The Gym League Administration decided to spice up the battles within the League by introducing special events and challenging tournaments.
Events are occasions which both gym leaders and challengers participate in. These events occur every two or three months and last for one month. In an event, the Gym League runs normally, but with few rules changed. A little peak to what these changed rules could be: certain Pokémon can be used; certain type(s) can be used; certain style of battling can be used.
Tournaments are different. Gym Leaders will be the only ones to participate in those. The point of these tournaments is to determine any changes in the ranking of the gym leaders. In other words, a current gym leader, who possibly has a low rank, has the opportunity to go up the hierarchy system by proving his strength against stronger gym leaders.
More information will be provided in a separate thread.
The new project we promised.
The Elite Four is an extension to the gym leaders we already have. However, these four members will not be chosen in the normal way; applications and such. Instead, we decided to use a much better method: the first four members to defeat all eight gym leaders have the right to become the Elite Four. So... I guess you better start right now!
'Remember, the League is for all members. You don't have to be competitive battlers to participate. This League is much simpler and has been made to mirror the one in the games.
Good luck to all challengers!

Ah, wow, Victory Road sure had a lot of clutter on it. I decided to do a bit of housecleaning and move away or merge unused portions of the site and unveil a few new changes.
Yes, we have re-released a blog feature! Be sure to check the board out and read over the blog rules before getting started. Have fun!
Towards the bottom of the forum listing, you may notice a new board called the Archive. This board is where old boards and threads may get retired once they are no longer relevant and cannot be merged into another board.
The most visible change, the boards now have a cleaner look than before with a better structure and more sense in organization.
We hope that these changes will better the community and help everyone find what they're looking for. :)
Be sure to comment if you have additional suggestions or need help with the new structure.

I'm sure you may have noticed it by the time you're reading this thread, but the recent thread listing atop the forum has been updated for improved browser compatibility, notably with scrolling. I have also added a "Show more results" link to show the last 50 results, and the default has been reduced from 15 to 14 to accommodate for this link.

PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, have pointed their fingers at Pokémon. With this comes a parody game, similar to what they did when they were attacking Super Mario 3D Land's Tanooki Suit. There is a screenshot of the game here. The game itself can be played here. (Very NSFW, you have been warned)
