First Ever English HG/SS Review

By Ningamer on February 8, 2010

The Official Nintendo Magazine (UK equivelant of Nintendo Power - Though completely separate) has just shipped it's newest issue. This issue claims to have the world's first English review of the two newest Pokémon games, so I've scanned the pages for your pleasure.
I've included the cover of the magazine aswell, since it was so awesome. That's the Subscriber-exclusive cover - Non subscribers would have to choose between a HG cover and a SS cover.

Attention all Staff members! (Post here)

By James on February 7, 2010

With the Permission of Cat333Pokemon, I have made a thread for all the staff members to post here, allowing us to know who IS active and who ISN'T active.
I have noticed and i'm sure you some of you have as well that some of the mods have been inactive. I thing this is wrong. The inactive mods are taking up space for future and capable members to reach a higher level. Cat and I will check back here every day for a week to find out who hasn't posted and will see what we do from there onward. If you are a staff member say something ex: "I am active!" to let us know that you are active on this site. This topic is not a discussion topic and all discussion posts will be deleted. We need to have new space for future leaders of this forum, to make it an ever better site.

Yours truly

Crystal Anime

By Kaorto on February 7, 2010

Now that Crystal Anime along with Crystal Islands are part of Victory Road I would like to explain more about Crystal Anime. Crystal Anime is a place to watch your favorite anime with an additional of cartoons (Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and The Boondocks mostly). But, the problem is that I would need more staff members to help out. If you're interested please IM me on MSN or AIM or just send me a PM here.

Thanks!

VR Chat Program

By Cat333Pokémon on February 4, 2010

It has come to my attention that there have been an excessive number of locked topics. Please do not lock topics if active discussion is still running! I have received complaints about peoples' topics being locked for pointless reasons, such as stating the original question has been answered. Well, even if that may be, new questions may have developed related to the original question. Being off-topic a little bit is allowable, especially if healthy discussion is running.

What SHOULD be locked:
- Things clearly outdated, like rule setup topics for tournaments.
- Bumped up old (prior to a month) introductions topics (unless bumped by the original author).
- Flame wars.
- Games that have finished/have been won (Name all 493 Pokémon, Count to 1000, Last one left wins, etc.).

What SHOULD NOT be locked:
- Healthy discussion that is related to the original topic. For example, discussion on probable release dates when the original topic was the announcement of the game.
- Anything that is still on-topic.
- Topics you don't agree with. (Instead, don't visit it.)
- Active critique.

'If you have been locking topics, I would like you to go around the forum and re-open any topics that you locked that are still relevant. You may also want to post that you re-opened it.'

Examples of bad locking:
- Where is the new topic? Be sure to post links! AND GUESS WHAT?! THE OTHER TOPIC IS ALSO LOCKED. Or is that not the same topic? What board is it on? - FIXED
- No explanation as to why it was locked. Looks like a very relevant discussion to me and I don't see another one in plain sight. - MISUNDERSTANDING
- Why is it pointless? Looks valid to me. - FIXED

Exampls of good locking:
- There is a link to an active discussion.
- Old tournament check-in topic, not necessary anymore.
- Introduction topic bumped three years after its relevance expired.
