12th movie prompts new site slogan

By Cat333Pokémon on November 20, 2009

I think we might've had enough fun with eating Shaymin or it getting eaten, so I retired "Where Typhlosion watches Floatzel eat Shaymin". The new slogan on both the main site and forum is:

'Where Arceus's magical creatures live'

This is a direct reference to the 12th movie, where (*SPOILERS*) the people of the past refer to Pokémon as "magical creatures", as the absence of the Poké Ball makes them not Pocket Monsters. (*END SPOILERS*) I will probably update the slogan after each movie receives a North American release.

Pokémon Rumble to be released in Europe/Australia this Frida

By Yoshi648 on November 19, 2009

Pokémon Rumble will be available for purchase this Friday for those in Europe and Australia. Like in Japan and the US it will be 1500 points to download. Not sure if the demo will be available.

Pokémon Rumble released in US.

By Yoshi648 on November 16, 2009

Pokémon Rumble (WiiWare) is now available for download from the US Wii Shop Channel. The game costs 1500 points ($15). If you are unsure if you want to drop the money for it, Nintendo has also started up a demo service for select WiiWare titles (one of which is Pokémon Rumble).

Anyone going to download it? Back when we thought it was just going to be $10 I was going to get it, but for $15 I am not sure. I have played a few rounds of the Japanese version on Cat's Wii and it seemed pretty fun, but I'll still download the demo.

PokéPark Wii - More details

By Yoshi648 on November 13, 2009

The official website for PokéPark Wii has released some new information.
First we got the names of some more mini-games:
Empoleon's Snow Slider - Control a water Pokémon through an obstacle course (similiar to Gyarados Marine Slider)
Blaziken's Punching Rock - Control your Pokémon with the Wiimote to punch rocks shot at you.
Dusknoir's Running Crash - Control your Pokémon through an obstacle course for the best time.
Absol's Hurdle Succession - Control your Pokémon to avoid random Diglett in the path of a race (boy there sure are a lot of "racing" games here)
Bastiodon's Panel Crash - Shoot balls at panels that fly by for the highest score.

Finally, we know of the moves that Pikachu has. He knows Quick Attack, Iron Tail, and Thunderbolt.

By Cat333Pokémon on November 13, 2009

Two new affiliates this week: Umbreon's Palace and Rainbow Vulpix. The first is a website with a variety of information, ranging from basic back-of-the-box-type information on games, to graphics tutorials, to a number of mini-games. The second is a new site that currently has a budding fanfic.

Tomorrow, I'll be running a live broadcast of Pokémon Emerald. I won't be starting from the beginning of the game, but this will be my first time playing through either Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald in quite some time. It will be at the oh-so-familiar location on Ustream: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/cat333pokemon

Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver - 10th Anniversary Mew Event

By Ningamer on November 10, 2009

Importers of Heart Gold/Soul Silver listen up! The event for the 10th Anniversary Mew started 11.11.09, and ends on 11.23.09, so grab it while you can!
There's nothing special about the Level 5 Mew, other than the Premier Ribbon that it has. Since it's level 5, the only attack that it knows is Pound, but it will (obviously) learn all of it's other moves as it levels up!
This event is repeated for Japanese Diamond, Pearl and Platinum owners from 01.29.10 to 02.11.10, so if you happen to own one of those be sure not to miss the second download!
Remember, this is Japan only!

Stats and stuff:

Another reminder: 5 days after this event (Nov. 27th) Heart Gold/Soul Silver owners will be able to download the Enigma Crystal. When taken to Pewter Museum it will be recognised as Soul Dew, and later Steven Stone will show up to tell you that it represents Latios/Latias (depending on your version). Afterwards you will be able to find Latios (Heart Gold) and Latias (Soul Silver). This way you can get both Lati's using one version!

Wow, it was only 13 days ago that we broke 200. Keep it up!

I'd like to ask everyone how they found out about the Floatzel.Net Community. I know many of you came from YouTube, but I'd still like anyone who is reading this topic to answer this question. Be honest please.

(And please don't say this is "BEST SITE EVER!!!" unless that's what you thought when you joined. We all know it's not.)
