My first ever import game arrived today, just two days after the
Japanese release date. Pokémon Platinum! The game is pretty awesome so far,
although it is quite similar to Diamond and Pearl. For a constantly-updated
summary of my adventure, check out this page:

Well, Christmas was filled with Pokémon, including a DVD box set, a bunch of plushies, and trading cards. I also received a gift card, which I used on Pokémon Battle Revolution, even though I don't have a Wii.
From left to right: Pachirisu, Mantyke, Buizel, Plusle, Piplup, Turtwig, Chimchar, talking Turtwig.

Today I picked up Emerald again and started going after Kyogre. That Pokémon wasn't that hard to catch! After he used Rest, I threw a Poké Ball (yes, a regular one) and caught him!

Today in Spanish class, I was watching the videos of recent lip synchs in Spanish. I was quite surprised when I heard the Pokémon theme song come on. "Tengo que ser siempre el mejor, mejor que nadie más...Atrápalos ya, Pokmon." The two people in it were dressed up like Pikachu, too.

Oh, no! Not the dreaded Bad Egg! Yeah, I found out my LeafGreen had the Bad Egg in it. Here's some pics:
Here's its stats.
Okay, so there is something box "EXPORT" or what?
I don't see anything!
I still don't see anything.
Oh, now...WHAT?! There's nothing there.
Careful when doing this!
I reboot the game and this is part of the "Previously on your quest" part. Also, I renamed the box to "BAD EGG."

I am sitting on the bus and I see someone playing Pokémon Crystal. I pull out my laptop and load up a Crystal ROM. Being in New Bark Town, I head west and say to my friends watching, "I'm gonna show you how to own a level 2 Pidgey with a level 84 Typhlosion. I enter a battle in the grass. Instead of the normal battle music, I hear strange music. I'm looking away at my friend saying "Watch this!" When I turn my head back, I am surprised at what I see on the screen: a level 40 Raikou! We begin laughing about that amazing luck. Of all things... Then I turn the laptop to the person playing Crystal, quickly explain the story, and hear him say "Wow! You are lucky!" This required a save state and a screenshot!

Today I received a Dialga in exchange for a Budew! It had a Japanese name of ディアルガ. Earlier this week, I received a Stunky and Turtwig on GTS. The Stunky was named スカンプー and the Turtwig was named ナエシチ, even though its normal Japanese name is ナエトル.
Today is my favorite day of 2007! This morning, I watched the Pokémon launch event on Pokemon.com. Later in the day, around 5, I went to pick up my copy of Pokémon Pearl. The guy there said that in the morning, there were five full shelves of the game! And I'm referring to the ones behind the counter where they store all the games. I was able to get my game with a guide and a stylus. Here's a picture:
